Setting Up Your Mailbox

LexCall Message Manager's user tutorial will help you set up your mailbox. Before entering, think of a 4-7 digit pass code and greeting you wish your callers to hear.

Either

If you are calling from the line that has the voice mail assigned to it, please dial 249-5900.  When the system answers, it will ask for a pass code. Enter your temporary pass code.

Listen to the tutorial.  It will instruct you on setting up your new pass code, your greeting and name.  Please follow the instructions to complete this set-up.

Or

If you are calling from a line other than the line that has voice mail assigned to it, please dial 249-5900.  When the system answers, it will ask for a mailbox number.  Enter the seven (7) digit telephone number that is assigned to the line with the voice mail.  When the default greeting comes on the line press the * Key.  It will then ask for a pass code.  Enter your temporary pass code.

Listen to the tutorial.  It will instruct you on setting up your new pass code, your greeting and name.  Please follow the instructions to complete this set up.

Entering Your Mailbox

Dial 249-5900. . .

A. From the line which has your voice mail. . .
 -  Enter your pass code to access your menu options.

B. From another line which also has voice mail. . .
 -  When it asks for pass code, press #.
 -  Enter your mailbox number.
 -  At your greeting, press *.
 -  Enter your pass code to access your menu options.

C. From any other line. . .
 -  Enter your mailbox number.
 -  Press *
 -  Enter your pass code to access your menu options.

Playing A Message

If you have unplayed messages, a broken dial tone will be heard.  Please note, you can continue to receive or make calls even if this broken dial tone is present.

- Enter your mailbox (see Entering Your Mailbox)
- Press 7 to play the current message.
- Listen to the message.
- Press 3 to delete the message.
           Or
- Press 5 to keep the message.

  Note:  The next message will play automatically.

Helpful Hints:

 *  To move backwards 5 seconds.
 # To move ahead 5 seconds.
 1 To pause 30 seconds (hit any key to resume playing).
 9 To exit the system (any unplayed messages will be kept for future
     retrieval).

User Options:

- Enter your mailbox (see Entering Your Mailbox).
- Press 8 for User Options.

User options include:
- 7 Set your pass code
- 4 Personalize your greeting
- 3 Delete greeting
 -5 Listen to greeting
 -6 Change name
 -7 Record greeting
